Answers to the most common questions about HobbyTS — joining games, creating events, Telegram verification, fields, and notifications.
What is HobbyTS?
HobbyTS is a community platform for finding sports games and meeting players in your city. Instead of hunting through dozens of Telegram chats, you can browse open events, contact organisers, create your own events, and connect with local sports communities in one place.
HobbyTS launched in Lviv, Ukraine, and is now expanding — currently building local sports communities in Germany, starting with Düsseldorf.
Joining games
How do I join a game?
Open HobbyTS — the All Events tab shows upcoming games in your city. Find one that fits your level and schedule, open it, then use the organiser contact to ask for a place. Full guide: How to join a football game in Lviv.
When is my place confirmed?
The organiser confirms your place directly. Contact them before travelling to the venue, especially when only a few places remain.
Can beginners join?
Yes. Look for events labelled "casual" or "all levels". Not sure of your level? Read the skill levels guide.
How much do games cost?
The organiser sets the price. Typical pickup games in Lviv cost 40–80 UAH per player — the organiser splits the field rental. The price is shown on the event card before you contact them.
What if I need to cancel?
Message the organiser as early as possible — ideally at least 4 hours before kickoff so they can find a replacement.
Creating events
How do I create an event?
Go to the Events page and tap the floating + button in the bottom-right corner. A three-step form guides you through Basic Info, Schedule, and Details. Full guide: How to create an event.
Can I set a skill level and price?
Yes. The event form includes skill level (Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced / Profi), price per player, team size, and player limit.
Can I choose any field?
You can search the 48 verified Lviv venues. If your field is not listed, contact us at t.me/hobbyts911 and we will add it.
Can I edit an event after publishing?
Yes. Open the event and choose More actions → Edit, or tap Edit Event at the bottom.
Telegram verification
Why does HobbyTS ask for Telegram?
Telegram is the main organiser flow for verifying the contact shown with an event and posting it to the HobbyTS community channel. The Telegram account must have a public username.
Is Telegram required to use HobbyTS?
No. You sign in with Google, Apple, or email. If you do not use Telegram, you can publish only to the in-app feed when your profile has another visible organiser contact; HobbyTS uses your profile link instead.
Will HobbyTS post anything to my Telegram automatically?
No. Nothing is ever posted automatically. HobbyTS only uses @HobbytsBot for verification and, if you have it enabled, for notifications about your own events.

Installing HobbyTS
Is HobbyTS in the App Store or Google Play?
Not yet. Open hobbyts.com in your browser and use "Add to Home Screen" for an app-like experience. Full instructions: How to install HobbyTS.
What sign-in options are available?
Google, Apple, and email with password.
Do notifications work?
Yes. HobbyTS supports browser push notifications. Allow them when prompted; you can change the permission later in your browser's site settings.
Where is HobbyTS available?
Launched in Lviv, Ukraine. Currently expanding to Germany — Düsseldorf is the first hub outside Ukraine.
